In short
- There's no official Google My Business helpline, customer care number or general support email for Google Business Profile.
- Start in the Business Profile Help Center and use its contact flow. Google decides whether to offer a form, chat or a callback.
- Use the dedicated tools for suspensions and reported reviews. They're usually faster than a general request.
- Anyone who cold-calls you claiming to be Google and asking for money is almost certainly a scammer.
Is there a Google My Business phone support number?
Start with the correct Google Account and a clear view of which business or location is involved. Platform interfaces can change, so use Google’s current Help instructions for sensitive account, policy or verification decisions.
Google does sometimes speak to business owners by phone, but on its own terms. Depending on the problem, your country and whether your profile is verified, the Help Center's contact flow may offer a callback. Verification can also use an automated call or text to the number on your profile. In both cases Google contacts you because you asked, not out of the blue.
Google Business Profile support: the official routes
Whether you call it Google My Business customer service, Google My Business help support or simply GMB support, Google's help is spread across several places. Picking the right one first can save you days.
| Route | Best for | How to reach it |
|---|---|---|
| Business Profile Help Center | Step-by-step articles and troubleshooters for most problems | support.google.com/business |
| Contact flow (get help) | Problems the articles don't solve, such as stuck verification or edits that won't publish | The contact or get help option in the Help Center, or the support link in your profile |
| Business Profile Help Community | Advice from experienced volunteers, including Google Product Experts | Linked from the Help Center |
| Appeals tool | Suspended, disabled or restricted profiles | Linked from the Help Center and from suspension emails |
| Reviews Management Tool | Checking reported reviews and appealing review decisions | Linked from the Help Center's review articles |
| Suggest an edit on Google Maps | Wrong details, duplicates or closed places on listings you don't manage | The listing itself on Google Maps |
If you manage your profile in Google Search, help and support options sit in the profile's menu. In Business Profile Manager there's a help link near the top of the screen. Google moves these menus from time to time, so if you can't see a label, search the Help Center for 'contact Business Profile support'.

How to contact Google Business Profile support
Searches for 'support google com business get help' and 'google com business support' lead to the same place: the contact flow in Google's Business Profile Help Center, usually found at support.google.com/business/gethelp. It works like a guided form rather than a switchboard.
Sign in with the owner account
Use the Google account that owns or manages the profile, so Google can see which business you mean.
Open the contact flow
Go to the Business Profile Help Center and choose the option to contact Google or get help.
Pick the profile and the topic
Select the business, then the topic that fits best, such as verification, editing your profile or reviews.
Describe the problem in a sentence
Be specific, for example: 'Edits to our opening hours have shown as under review for ten days.'
Read the suggested articles
Google shows help articles first. If none of them fixes the problem, continue past them.
Use the contact option offered
Choose whatever appears: a form, chat or a callback. If nothing appears, Google treats the issue as self-service, so use the community or a dedicated tool.
Keep the case reference
Save the case ID and Google's email. Reply in that thread rather than opening a new case.
Getting support for specific problems
Many problems have a faster route than a general support request. Use the one that matches your issue.
Suspended or restricted profile
Use the appeals tool, not a general support request. Our guide to a suspended Google Business Profile covers the causes, the evidence to gather and what to avoid.
Reviews
Report a review from your profile, then track it in the Reviews Management Tool, where you can also appeal a decision. Google support can't remove a review because you disagree with it. Removal depends on a policy breach and is never guaranteed. See how to remove Google reviews for what qualifies.
Verification
Most verification problems are solved by retrying with a method Google offers, or by correcting your details first. Our Google business verification guide explains every method and the usual fixes.
Ownership and access
If someone else owns your profile, request access through Google's process on the profile, and the current owner gets a chance to respond. Our guides to claiming a profile and transferring ownership walk you through it.
Wrong details or a duplicate listing
If your details keep changing, check for updates from Google in your profile and accept or correct them, then make sure your website shows the same information. If there's a second listing for your business, report it from Google Maps rather than asking support to delete it. Our guide to merging Google Business Profiles explains how duplicates are handled and what happens to their reviews.
Google business technical support
For errors such as pages that won't load or buttons that do nothing, try a different browser, a private window or the Google Maps app first. Check you're signed in with the right account, because many 'missing profile' problems turn out to be a second Google account. If the fault continues, report it through the contact flow with a screenshot.
Is there a Google business support email?
There's no general Google My Business support email address. Email support happens inside a case: you submit a request through the Help Center and, if Google handles it by email, the reply comes from a Google address with your case reference. Keep the whole conversation in that thread.
Check the sender carefully. Genuine messages come from Google addresses, never ask for your password and never ask for payment to keep your listing. If an email asks you to sign in, go to business.google.com yourself rather than following the link.
What to prepare before you contact support
Start with the correct Google Account and a clear view of which business or location is involved. Platform interfaces can change, so use Google’s current Help instructions for sensitive account, policy or verification decisions.
- The email address of the Google account that owns or manages the profile
- The business name and address exactly as shown on Google Maps, plus a link to the listing
- Your Business Profile ID, usually found in the profile's settings under advanced settings
- A clear description of the problem, when it started and what changed just before
- Screenshots of error messages, rejected edits or notices
- Any case ID from earlier contact with Google
- Supporting documents if the issue involves ownership, an address or a suspension
How to spot scams pretending to be Google support
Business owners are a favourite target for impersonation scams, because a Google listing matters so much to them. Watch for these warning signs:
- A call or message you didn't ask for, claiming to be from Google or 'Google My Business support'.
- Threats that your listing will be removed or suspended unless you act today.
- A fee to verify, protect, rank or reinstate your profile.
- Requests for your password, a verification code or remote access to your computer.
- Promises of a guaranteed top position on Google Maps or guaranteed review removal.
If in doubt, end the call and check your profile yourself at business.google.com. In the UK you can report fraud to Action Fraud, or to Police Scotland if you're in Scotland. In India, use the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or the 1930 helpline. In the US, report it to the Federal Trade Commission. You can also tell Google through the Help Center.
